Hyotoko @ Daikanyama Wedding reception

Start with a sincere thanks to friend Shigeo Matsuyama, for allowing me an intimate behind-the-scenes look into the Hyotoko Awa Odori group.

I've taken and posted photos of Awa Odori  before, but never this close.

Everyone was rather chill, chatting away, and getting ready for their exhibition at Matsuyama-san's friend's wedding reception.  Spirits were high, despite the lengthy delay in the schedule.

But once the call came, the group put on their game faces and went to work.

Their performance was fantastic.  Every sound and movement was dynamic, precise, and engaging.  As a nice touch, they enlisted the distinguished guests to participate in some of the basic movements.  Great cap to the moving performance.

Well done, Hyotoko.

You know something went right if there's a second date.  Or perhaps, you were able to pull the "wool over their eyes".

Lately, I've been going through a photographer's version of "writers block".
Seems that nothing is properly flowing nor emerging with the right spiritual balance.

Band-aid remedy:  Holga HL-C lens.

Poor man's beer goggles perhaps, but something to shake up the status quo.
